What a great way to start a STEM year at Little Lambs. This week, we've spent a lot of time learning about the kinds of dinosaurs but more than that; we've learned about Paleontology. That's Science at its finest, using technology and science to uncover new forms of Dino life out there in the ground all over the world. THEN using Engineering to dig it up and math to find out just how old it is and where it came from.
We spent a little time watching a docu-series called Planet Dinosaur! It taught us that Paleontologists don't just uncover fossils and learn all about them but also use computers to bring these great lizards back to life for us to observe. It's a wonderful series, but there is a little bit of Saurus on Saurus violence. It was a big, dangerous world back then. Dino Lives Matter though and everyone in the Preschool/Pre-K group agrees, that's why Paleontology is such an important science. Plus, Dinosaurs are so cool.
